A Tribute To Happy Blackwelder.

Happy Blackwelder is a friend of ours “baby.” She belonged to Eddie and Shirley Blackwelder. Happy passed away today. I said baby lovingly because we love our pets like they were human. I do not know about you but I do believe animals go to Heaven. Today when I heard from Eddie about Happy the first thing I thought she is licking Jesus and the angels hands. Eddie and Shirley loved her and she was just a special little baby. Happy RIP and I hope you are having a good time with all the children and other animals. Below is what Eddie sent to me. We all will truly will miss this sweet little angel. She would always say “Hello” when I would hear from Eddie. I am going to miss you too little precious.

All Pets Go To Heaven

Can you imagine a heaven without pets?

There is a very special place where beloved pets go after they die. This is only a temporary location. But there are trees and grass and lakes, and everything they love. Here they can play and eat and sleep, even better than they did, before they died. Now, there are no aches or worries or dangers of any kind to trouble or threaten them. The only joy missing is their beloved human companion. Today this human companion is me; the beloved pet is “Happy,” my “Happy.”

All health is restored completely for “Miss Happy,” and all injuries are healed. Dogs and cats play with each other like youngsters in heaven, and they do not have time to feel lonely for us. They miss us, probably, and with the special wisdom that animals have, they trust that this condition will get better. And they confidently wait as they frolic.

A wonderful day will come for each of them, when in the middle of playing they will suddenly feel something is different. And all their senses will be at the height of excitement and exuberance. They will sniff the air and look off in the distance where they recognize that dearly loved special presence. Then they will call out in elation, and with eyes shining and tail going wild, tear off at a full gallop, almost flying over the green grass. In Happy’s case it will be me.

My expected arrival will have been sensed, and there will be nothing that can keep the two of us apart, ever again. As we run toward each other the tears will flow from my eyes. Happy leaps into my arms, and we cling together in jubilant reunion. The joyous kisses are all over my face, and I kiss back, just as ecstatically. My hands so lovingly caress once more the beloved fur, the head and neck and body I knew so well. And looking into each other’s loving eyes, all those old, wonderful shared feelings are back, again.

And then something will call the both of us on, to a different field of warmth and nurture, where all the love we knew now comes to fruition. With Happy, I leave that special waiting area, walk into the main part of heaven, and begin a new existence there, together.

If you accept that pets can love us as much as we do them, then the logic is clear and cannot be denied. If you believe that there is a heaven for people, then they must be there, waiting for us, when we cross over. Heaven is love, and pets always share that with us. Plus, spell “dog” backward and look at what you have!

Thanks, Happy, for being a great companion. You were there for me when no one else was. I loved you from the start and will continue to love you throughout eternity.
Thank you, God, for giving me my little ball of fur to love. She was, and is, great!

You’re Pal,

Eddie

Hi Chris, I feel so sad for your friends and the loss of their much loved pet. I have been down that sad path a few times as well. Do I believe pets go to Heaven-YES I do. Your friends might like to read a book called ” Heaven is for Real” by Todd Burpo- a pastor in the U.S. -about all of the things that happened after his young son had a near death experience. The book was wonderful and it reinforced my belief, not only in Heaven but the fact that our pets will be there with us., just as they deserve to be. Sending you and your friends special thoughts from across the pond. Your Aussie friend, Sandy.
