Thanks for the tutorial. I have a vintage White machine, but, mine is MUCH older and is just straight stitch. I found a lovely red fabric bowl at the Kansas Visitors Center on Sunday. The person that made is is also named 'Cheryl'. How cool is that? I'll have to try this one of these days. I wonder if my 'zig-zag' attachment would work? Hmmm.... just may have to try that.

This is so strange. I *just* read another blog, "Trenches of Mommyhood" where she's talking about different ways she uses vinegar (and how to use orange peels to make an orange scented vinegar for cleaning) and now your wonderful idea. I guess I'm going to have to go invest in a few gallons of vinegar! Thanks for sharing this. I'll definitely be trying it.

In case you want to read her vinegar post, you can find Trenches of Mommyhood here: http://trenchesofmommyhood.blogspot.com/2012/02/citrus-cleaner.html . No affiliation - just sharing the info!

I am tempted to head down that way, but not for a few months. My husband needs hernia surgery, so we may head south for a few weeks to visit family.
