I just love Valentine’s Day. I normally get a card, candy, sometimes a really nice piece of jewelry and a lot of kisses! What a great day.
You ever wonder about the history of Valentine’s Day? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valentine’s_Day Here you will find all the answers.
Do you have a particular thing you love? I do love those old Valentines we gave at school as kids. The teacher brought us white lunch sacks and we decorated them. Then we had a list of everyone in our class which was a small list I had. I would get a box of those Valentine’s with the white envelopes lay them all out and pick out the one that suited the person on the list the most. If I had a crush on someone I looked over the cards a long time to find that one perfect one. Then the day at school was here. We usually had pink and red cupcakes with hearts, the teacher usually gave us something maybe a red pencil and we had our beautiful decorated sacks or so we thought out for the classmate to drop their card in our sack.
I ran home with mine. I could not wait to get home to see if I had a special card from someone that had a crush on me.
Yes I also loved those candy hearts. I did not really care to eat them, I just would call someone’s name out and pick a heart and read what it would say. Sometimes it matched that person and sometimes it was funny when I was asking one of my girlfriends to be my Valentine!
Here are some pictures. I hope you enjoy.

I always got a large box of chocolates, but I can’t have sweets anymore, so it is no fun, lol. I lose my jewelry, and now I don’t wear any, so I let the holiday slide by. My husband does lots of little things for me and that is enough for me.
We have been without power or internet since friday, but finally got power yesterday and a new box today, so back to normal.
