Earthquake hit Locust Fork 11:30 PM last evening.

Did you feel it?  My not-so-tiny tail was getting in the bed and got hurt.

We have one of those tall poster beds and I am short so I have one of those “soon to be in the garage stools.” Well got up on the top step and my right knee went out and you know the rest. Fell completely backwards into a dresser, table and nightstand. No furniture broken.. I missed a corner of a very sturdy table with glass by a 1/4 inch.. Scant quarter to all my quilter friends.

I am just blessed that Gary was there to help me and that I do not have any more damage that I do.. I have known for years the right knee was going to have to be replaced but I was not figuring on this soon. I hoped I had 10 more years.  I can deal with it but the left arm and wrist.  That smarts.  I am saying cracked or broken.. Gary is betting severly strained.  I hope it is the latter.  I got postcards and blocks to make. I can’t be down for the count! I knew I should have slept on the couch!

A couple of years ago, one of the sweetest ladies I know came out of a grocery store and a van hit her and dragged her a good ways and nothing was spared of damage. Everything was punctured or broken. God saw it fit to leave her here with us.  It took almost a year of recovery. She is in her late 70’s and gets around better than us young people.  For all Kate went through I am ashamed to complain.. I really am.

Ok I am going to make the best out of a situation.  Oh the fall registered 8.6 on the Richter scale!!  Hey one good note I GOT A PEDICURE AND MANCURE YESTERDAY!! NO DAMAGE!!
