Silver Road To California Mystery

California Zephyr--Eastbound meets Westbound in Glenwood Canyon.jpg

Who doesn’t love a good mystery? Who doesn’t love beautiful quilts? Who doesn’t love great quilt patterns? We all do of course. Here is a site to visit http://silverroadtocalifornia.com/  Carol Logan Newbill has a great book along with a Block of the Month pattern.

About the Author

Carol Logan Newbill has been making up stories since she was three years old, sewing since she was seven, and making quilts since 1975.

During the 1990s she wrote and edited quilt books for Oxmoor House, including The Olympic Games Quilts: America’s Welcome to the World and several volumes of the Great American Quilts series. As a quiltmaker, she has won numerous awards for her original quilts. As a visiting instructor, she spent several summers teaching fiber arts at the Taos Institute of Arts in New Mexico.

Carol grew up with the sound of trains through her world from the nearby rail yards. These days, she lives some distance from those rail yards, but the freight trains still whistle every night at the grade crossing near her house. She will be riding the California Zephyr in March of 2011 for the first time.

I have seen the patterns and they are great. The novel is also.  I hope you all visit and enjoy and of course purchase the BOM Patterns. They are only $2.50 each and that includes the novel. I do not know of any BOM that you can get for that price.
