Sorghum Syrup Making, Saturday In Alabama

I know this is short notice but I just got this yesterday for any of you in the Anniston/White Plains, Alabama area or actually anywhere. It is easy to find. This seems like it will be a great event to attend. I want to see how they make the Sorghum syrup myself. Syrup and honey from the area will be for sale. Time starts is 7 AM until whenever according to Linda Jones, who along with her husand Roy will be making the sorghum syrup and having honey for sale.  She even said there will be “Sweet Tater Bisquits and fried pies.”  Sounds like a plan to me to be there!

Nances Creek annual Octoberfest Saturday, Oct 1st at Nances Creek Community Center on Hollingsworth Road. Sorghum syrup making, home made biscuits and sausage, bologna, fried pies, home made ice cream, Trade Day.   There will be signs directing you to the Community Center.

Nances Creek Community is located between Piedmont and Jacksonville, Al on Highway 9.  It is a beautiful ride with some of the most awesome view of the mountains. About the “purtiest” place in Alabama if you ask me! For those of you who like us, love football.. DVR… Tape it come out and support this clean fun activity . You never know what you may learn and how much fun you will have until you try.
